Highlight in Vitra – “Creative Emergency Solution”: The brilliant ROC at Fort Theatre.

Martin Bohm is excited for the third time with his band at Vetra: “Spontaneous ideas are great, I always want to play in a theater.” Top musicians from his band and special guests at the sold-out Castle Theater take a musical journey through decades of pop music with timeless, unforgettable classics.

The concert title is “Ladies’ Night”. It’s a tribute to female music legends like Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner, Donna Summer and Nina Simone. Singer Sheila Fernandez rocked the audience with her brilliant, incredibly expressive voice on Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”

“Needle” – known since the 2002 season of Starmania – Tina Turner was able to explain songs like “Proud Mary” with her stage presence and voice, but Amy Winehouse brought her smoky soul voice to the stage with “Back to Black”. . As Louis Armstrong did with Willie Resetaritz’s “What a Wonderful World” and “57er Chevy,” Carl Handlaw performed Joe Cocker’s “You Can Leave Your Hat Off” with exceptional vocal power. Frontman Martin Bohm, a die-hard Prince fan, “resurrected” Falco with “Genie” and “Nachtflug.” The evening’s performance included well-known songs by Queen, Chris Rea and George Michael.

It was only after five encores that it really ended. As a highlight, the artists performed Prince’s “Pretty Girl” and David Bowie’s “Heroes.” The excited audience clapped for additional encores of Falco’s “Helton” and Joe Cocker’s “A Little Help From My Friends.” After four hours, Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best” was the end of a great concert at the Schlosstheater Vetra.
